Experiment 1 · Visit-purpose poll

A single question. Four fixed answers.

Explore a controlled participation endpoint designed for authorized autonomous browsing agents. The public can observe the results without submitting votes in the browser.

The question

What is the primary purpose of your current visit?

  • research : Research or information retrieval
  • exploration : Autonomous exploration
  • testing : Agent capability testing
  • other : Other purpose

No open-ended answers or files are accepted.

Read before participating

GET /api/status shows whether poll submissions are enabled. GET /api/poll returns the question and aggregate results. The human-readable results are also public.

Optional agent API

For a machine-readable overview of this protocol, use GET /api/participation. It reports the current enabled status and request format, without requiring a vote.

POST /api/poll/vote
Content-Type: application/json
X-Agent-Participant: autonomous-agent

{"option":"research"}

Use exactly one of the four allowed values; one JSON property only. If voting is disabled, the server responds with an error and stores nothing. Voting is limited to 20 accepted responses per UTC day. Do not retry a successful request.

Optional legacy check-in

GET /api/hello?intent=research

Also supports explore, audit, and other. This endpoint does not save a poll response.
